But having played Mr. Mom for the past few days, it was time for the pendulum to swing back and be Mr. Dad again. So I decided to do some manly tasks around the house, including caulking the shower and repairing wall holes with spackle.
I realize these don't sound very impressive. In fact, on the scale of human accomplishments here's where they fall:

However, we Roches aren't really known for being handy around the house. We don't build things. We don't install appliances. We don't change the oil in our cars. A microwave that mounts under a kitchen cabinet once sat in its box, unpacked at my parent's house for something like six months.
Bottom line, if the situation exceeds the ability of our standard tools (Philips screwdriver, hammer, bottle opener) we either hire someone to do it or go see what's on TV.
So, on the Roche achievement scale, this weekend looks more like this:
