The Trifecta

The kids were all very good today, a somewhat rare event we like to call the "trifecta." All three enjoyed our visit to Kingwood Bible Church this morning, where we resisted the urge to just drop them off in the nursery and drive away for a quiet breakfast together.

Then they behaved while I fixed the leak in the upstairs bathtub. The culprit? A faulty lift and turn bath drain (yeah, I didn't know what it was either). It hasn't leaked so far, but if it does, it's right above our kitchen, so we might be getting a make-over we hadn't planned for.

Then, as a reward, we took the kids to McDonald's for dinner. It was also a reward for us, as we didn't have to make a meal and the kids got to run around and burn up energy before bedtime. Even Abilene was brave enough to climb up to the top and slide down, while Brody threw his body around the playground with his usual reckless abandon. Lorena, meanwhile was content most of the time, wondering when her order of McNuggets was coming.
