Great, Just Great

It's amazing how a momentous milestone in your child's development can fill you with pride and dread at the same time. To mark the occasion, I wrote a haiku:

Lorena can crawl.
She moves around on her own.
We're in big trouble.

Even though we were technically outnumbered by the kids, at least we could set Lorena down and not worry about her leaving that spot. Now, we're officially on high alert, constantly having to account for three kids' locations at all times.

It's not like she gave us much time to prepare either. In a span of three days (three days!) she went from sitting immobile to crawling proficiently and pulling herself up onto the furniture. At this rate, she'll be walking by Christmas and running the 100 meters in the 2008 Olympic games.

We'll try to get some footage of this bitter-sweet situation, but we truly have our hands full, now more than ever.
