Spider-man at Sea?!

Here's a picture Brody recently colored at a restaurant. They were nice enough to have these available, keeping kids busy, and Brody was thrilled that it had Spider-man on it.

I noticed three things. Guess which one really troubled me:

1) Brody did an excellent job correctly coloring Spider-man's outfit.

2) The water is green (which Brody later identified as a "swamp")

3) Why is Spider-man on a boat (or possibly at the pier)? Typically he is seen swinging between skyscrapers in the city, fighting in back alleys or leaping across rooftops. Spider-man's not really known for his amazing battles at sea or his ability to pilot a water vessel. This might as well have been a picture of Spidey sitting at a desk doing his taxes or swinging between the pyramids in Egypt. Do your homework, restaurant wait staff!

Fortunately 5-year-olds have a better response to this question: "I dunno. When is our food getting here?"
