And the Oscar goes to...

Last night was the Academy Awards, an annual event in the Roche household where April and I fill out our ballots and compete to see who can correctly guess the winners of all the categories. This year was a close one, as I narrowly edged her out 14-13. But seeing as the only nominated movie we had any familiarity with was the animated film Cars, it was anyone's guess as to who would win.

Also this weekend we completed another addition to the kids' play area. We wanted to have a way for them to watch movies and cartoons, but not have to worry about the electrical outlets or lose any precious floor area. The answer came to us from above:

So now the kids can play all they want on the floor and all we have to be concerned about is strained necks and a large piece of equipment falling on them.

Seriously, it's very sturdy. Anything that troublesome to put up has to be structurally sound.

Also April had another visit with her doctor today. Everything is looking good. We're about a month out before #3 is on the scene.

So, that's all from Rocheville. 24 starts in a few minutes so I need to go prepare myself for another hour of non-stop action with surprises around every turn!
