Getting things done

Today was a busy one, but we got a lot taken care of.

First
, we found out Lorena has an elevated Bilirubin level, which is somewhat normal in newborns. She goes back to the doctor tomorrow for a simple test, but should be nothing to worry about.

Then April went to her doctor to get a quick checkup. Everything is fine there too.

Finally, another sign of spring is upon us: the firing up of the grill. Tonight we feasted on Dry Rubbed Pork Tenderloin with Fire-Roasted Tomato Sauce. The combination of great weather and April's mom helping watch the kids created an opportunity to try something new.

I highly recommend this one, but a word of caution. If you're using a thermometer to check the temperature of the meat, remember: thermometers measure how hot things are, and a direct result, tend to get hot themselves. When taking them out of the meat, you probably should wear gloves or use an oven mitt or something.

Just a word of caution as I type with painful fingers...
