If you hadn't heard, we had a girl - Lorena Jean - on Friday. Today she and April were discharged from the hospital and are now home.
Our time in the hospital was short, but we did get to enjoy a marathon of American Gladiators on ESPN Classic.
The American Gladiators
If you don't remember this game show from the late 80s-early 90s, it basically pit average Joe's against super-huge gladiators in various challenges, including the Joust, Powerball and (my personal favorite) Atlasphere (as seem below).
But we also had some bonding time with Lorena, and discovered one of the greatest snacks ever (Archer Farms Chocolate-covered, Peanut Butter-filled Pretzel Bites available at Target), so it was a great weekend overall. Finally, baseball season started today and the World Champion St. Louis Cardinals were on TV, so we were excited to get to see the game. However, we ended up witnessing a 6-1 loss to the New York Mets. Well, there goes our 162-0 season...
But we have a beatiful new daughter to help raise our spirits. I mean, how can you not smile when you see something like this?
