Field Trip: The Movie

Today Brody's preschool took a trip to the Houston Zoo. This may be a poor reflection on us as parents, but here's how the conversation went at the dinner table:

Justin: So Brody, how was the zoo today?
Brody: Cool, they had fish just like in "Finding Nemo."
Justin (impressed by his son's memory): Wow, what else did you see?
Brody: I saw a bat just like in my "Batman" video game!
Justin (less impressed): OK, anything else?
Brody: Yeah, they had lions just like in "Madagascar 2" and there were long green things [vines] like in "Indiana Jones."
Justin (realizing this is probably his fault): Well, glad you had fun.

Apparently, Brody can only recognize things in real life that he's seen before on television or in movies. He also mentioned he saw a cheetah like on the Cheetos commercial. Yeesh.

Please don't tell Child Services. We swear we're good parents.
