Humble Trip - 1:03 pm

No photo from lunch, as Lorena decided to wait to throw up until we got out of the van and into a booth at McD's (dodged a bullet there). FYI, if you let a McDonald's employee know that your kid threw up, they won't take any action until you get a manager and use the word "vomit." Just a little tip...

We're somewhat delayed on our trip due to Lori's incident and a big wreck on Highway 40. Thanks to some gossipy old people and our super eavesdropping skills, we heard there was a major accident just up ahead. We checked the GPS and found a side route, which let us drive parallel to the highway and see the traffic backed up for miles. If you have a Blackberry and haven't downloaded Google Maps, do so immediately as it may come in handy.

So, we're running late, but not sitting stuck on the highway, which is a bonus given the hindsight knowledge of Lori's pending sickness. But everyone is fine now and we're back on the road.
