As of 7:54 pm on Saturday, this has turned out to be one amazing weekend (well, amazing by our standards).
First, the Bacon Salt arrived. And there was much rejoicing...
For those of you who secretly mocked us from the other side of the computer screen, well, the joke is on you. It is awesome. We now have the power to add the taste of bacon to anything and are a force to be reckoned with, so beware...
Secondly, and even more amazing, we went to a sit-down, full-service restaurant for lunch today. While this may not seem like a tremendous feat to some of our readers, understand the stars, planets, horoscopes, fortune cookies and 1-900 psychic hotlines all have to align in order for it to even be a possibility, much less have all three kids behave, eat quietly, not make a huge mess and not receive too many dirty looks from the other customers who asked to be seated in the "non-smoking, no kids" section. Even Lorena ate all of her lunch of pureed pears without wasting a single spoonful.
Granted, it was only a meal at an out of the way, suspiciously "not very busy for lunch" Black Eyed Pea restaurant, but we felt like it was a grand feast.
Let's hope the Amazing Weekend continues with more small, incredible surprises.
