Now, I'm a big fan of commercials and have admitted so on this blog to the five people that actually read this thing. But last night we had a revelation.
Our kids love infomercials. They see products for the upside-down tomato plant or space-age cordless hair straightener and state this is what they want for Christmas. It was funny at first, but last night, while brushing teeth, Brody had difficulty getting the last bit of toothpaste out of the tube (we've all been there, right?). His answer? "We need to get the Touch and Brush!"

We laughed and then he started to recite the commercial verbatim, and his big push at the end of his sales pitch was, "And the best part is, Touch and Brush lets you get the last bit of toothpaste out of the tube!"
And yes, I realize it is my fault, as they spent the extended weekend with their TV-loving dad. So, maybe we'll limit the TV watching for a while. But if it encourages them to practice good dental hygiene, how bad can it really be?
